This holiday was created to honor America’s veterans for their service, sacrifice, courage and patriotism. Its history is also based in support of peace and harmony throughout the world after the devastation of World War I.

Unfortunately, there are several turbulent events around the world that threaten peace and harmony, but reinforce our support of veterans who served to maintain it. We encourage you to take time this week to appreciate veterans and the service they have provided to us all.

At Helix, we have ten veterans on staff and two on our board of directors who have served in the Army, Navy and Marines and continue their service to the public today.

Wise words from John F. Kennedy reflect the appreciation on this holiday, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them”.

Thank you, veterans, for your bravery and sacrifice in serving our country.

Brian Olney,
General Manager
